Are we really free if we’re safe?

One can not be free like a animal if there locked in a cage  can they? when it comes to the topic of safety and freedom are we really free when were safe, or are we even safe if were free?

I know when it comes to this touchy subject people would feel uncomfortable talking about it. That being said i do apologize to anyone who would read this and be “possibly offended ” by my opinion. To cut to the chase i see it that its more important to have more freedom and less safety. That is the fine line of balance between the two but in the long run it will always be better to have more freedoms in the end.

Now new thing to talk about, the idea of to much safety is absolutely terrible, keep in mind that when saying  safety I don’t mean common things such as like minor laws or restrictions. What need to be discussed is the idea, well the whole process of invasion of our privacy like our  e-mails, call logs, messages, private information that the government and well in general no man has a right to look through. If you haven’t herd then here is  some information, the N.S.A have tapped into our privacy with the claim to ” stop terrorism ” such topics they have proclaimed in the past were.” information gathered under prism has helped foil about 50 terrorist plots according to N.S.A” this quote was taken from the article “Watching you”. Now a interesting thing to know is, yes the government is there to “protect and serve” but they are clearly going against the Forth Amendment, here is a brief summary.”The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects personal privacy, and every citizen’s right to be free from unreasonable government intrusion into their persons, homes, businesses, and property whether through police stops of citizens on the street, arrests, or searches of homes and businesses ” (click here for the site were i got this) just saying if we are suppose to trust them with our safety, then why are they intruding on our safety?

Now the next topic will sound controversial, but it is  necessary to have war. but in a safe society they restrict it and restrict any kind of violence. such as in the novel ” the giver” they dull down and even do away with all terms of violence whether  that violence be physical, mental,or emotional. Either way its a almost mandatory, to have a safe society you must take risk, sacrifices must be made for the betterment of the people. A prime example of real world today would be the terrorist group know as ISIS. Yes its bad to say but we must to eradicate them for the prosperity of other society’s, look through this article and tell me you wouldn’t feel safe knowing monsters like them roam the world and you have nothing to do about it . They pose a threat so to be ” safe” its best to eradicate them, but doing that would require freedom oppose to a means of safety. Now keep in mind its not only ISIS that could be threatening, the idea is out that you need to have a ability to fight if necessary,to fight for what you believe in,your freedom, your safety….. ironic isn’t It ?that we need a little bit of disorder in order to have order in society as Carl Jung said ( Swiss psychiatrist and founder of the school of analytical psychology)  ” In all chaos there is in the cosmos,in all disorder  is a secret order “. its almost mandatory to have disorder, its part of what makes humans human. To take that away would be like stripping one of there humanity                         .

After reading all this, hopefully you can understand this point of few.The few to have more freedom oppose to safety, we make out own safety through our acts of freedom  no one else.
